# What is RigtRect?

{% embed url="<https://vimeo.com/393247146>" %}

The RigtRect script for Adobe After Effects allows a simple and easy workflow for building dynamic and flexible layouts with a few clicks.

Simply select the layer you want to rig, select the anchor point position and create the rig with the click of a button.

#### Three rig types:

1. **RigtRect**: a shape layer rectangle spanning between two controller objects.
2. **RigtSource**: stretch your layers between two controllers.
3. **RigtFill**: constrain proportions while fitting the content of your layer into a rigged rectangle.

These are native After Effects rig based on expressions and shape layers, which comes in quite handy when you create Motion Graphics Templates (.mogrt) or collaborate with others who don't have the script installed.

The scipt is compatible with After Effects CC 2015 and above.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.dezignphreak.com/rigtrect/what-is-rigtrect.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
